I just bought a 1.5TB hard disk for $99. (It was a Seagate Barracuda from MicroCenter in Cambridge; I bought it on Black Friday*.)
I still remember when hard disks were over $1 a megabyte.
* I understand why "Black Friday" is called "Black Friday." Retailers are "in the black". But why are the days of stock-market crashes also called "black"? Wouldn't "red" be more appropriate? C.f. Black Monday, Black Tuesday.
Core dumped.
